There’s that awkward bit of the year when it’s too chilly to wander around in just a T-shirt, but not cold enough to start reaching for the hoodies or jackets.
That’s where a decent shirt or overshirt earns its keep.
Wear one open over a T-shirt, button it up when it gets a bit colder, or throw on an overshirt when you need an extra layer without feeling like you’re dressed for December.
But shirts aren’t just about keeping warm.
Sometimes you’re going out for a meal, having a few drinks, or you just fancy looking a bit smarter without getting properly dressed up. A decent shirt with jeans or chinos can do the job without making you look like you’ve just come from the office.
From checks, denim and heavier overshirts to something cleaner and smarter for a night out, there’s plenty to choose from.

When it’s a bit chilly but not quite jacket weather, you can’t go far wrong with a decent hoodie. Perfect for layering up, heading out or just keeping comfortable around the house.

Whatever you think of Liam Gallagher, the bloke knows how to wear a jacket.
For years he’s been associated with some of the names and styles that sit right in Clothes for the Lads territory – Stone Island, technical outerwear, military-inspired jackets, anoraks and the sort of gear that looks just as good down the pub as it does walking onto a stage.
His connection with Stone Island eventually became official too, with Liam appearing in the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2024–25 campaign.
So when Oasis finally walked back onto a stage together, you might have expected him to reach for the Stone Island.
He didn’t.

For the opening night of the Oasis reunion tour, Liam came out wearing the Ten C x Awake NY Skye Ten Anorak.
Ten C might not be as instantly recognisable to everyone as Stone Island or C.P. Company, but that probably made the choice even more interesting.
The limited-edition jacket combined lightweight crinkle nylon with Ten C’s Original Japanese Jersey fabric, with a camouflage pattern inspired by the rocky ground beneath Manhattan.
And, unsurprisingly, once Liam Gallagher walks onto one of the biggest stages in Britain wearing something, people start asking what it is.

That’s the thing with Liam’s style.
He doesn’t particularly look like he’s trying to be fashionable. A lot of what he wears comes from styles that have been around for years – military jackets, parkas, anoraks, technical outerwear and classic trainers.
And perhaps that’s exactly why it works.
You don’t need to dress like Liam Gallagher.
But if you’re looking for a decent jacket, he’s not a bad bloke to nick a few ideas from.

Sometimes it’s the little things that finish the job. Caps, hats, sunglasses, watches, bags, belts, wallets and everything else that adds something to the outfit.
We’ll pick out the accessories we reckon are worth a look — from everyday essentials to the odd bit you probably don’t need but definitely fucking want.

Shorts for the gym, holidays, summer days or doing absolutely nothing. From sporty and casual to something a bit smarter, we’ll pick out the pairs we reckon are worth getting your legs out for.
